The mission of NHS is to recognize and foster enthusiasm for scholarship, to promote the development of strong character, to encourage positive leadership, and to cultivate responsible citizenship through service to school and community.

Prospective Members

To be invited to join NHS, all junior and seniors with a GPA UNWEIGHTED 3.7 will be invited to apply.  This is a SIMPLE 3.7 GPA and is the cut off score, grades will not be rounded up. Once invited, a student must submit two teacher letters of recommendation and complete this form.

There will be no roll-over hours this year.

  • Each NHS member will be held accountable for completing ten hours each semester
  • Additional hours submitted after reaching the required amount per semester will not count toward the total
  • Failure to complete any of these requirements will result in probation from NHS (do not get recognized, letter sent home to parents, cannot participate in NHS facilitated meetings).
