Mundelein High School’s Junior/Senior Prom will take place Friday, May 4, from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Marriott Lincolnshire in the Grand Marquee Pavilion. The theme for the evening is Gatsby Gala: A Golden Evening, and is coordinated by the Student Leadership organization. Five hundred students have purchased tickets for the event.
During the week prior to the event upperclassmen vote for the Prom Court. Once the Prom Court is announced during dinner, prom-goers will then vote for King and Queen from among the Court. Voting will be done either on their phones or at a designated area at the venue. The King and Queen will be crowned at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Students will dine on a Mediterranean Salad and choose from three entrees including Chicken Gremolada, Parmesan Crusted Strip Steak or Cheese Ravioli with Marinara. The dessert station will offer Key Lime Tart, Citrus Sauce, New York Style Cheesecake, Berry Compote and Cookies and Cream Chocolate Cake.
Patrick Gaughan and Cynthia Henrichs are co-sponsors of Student Leadership.
