Sophomores and Seniors will be given the opportunity to participate in the 2020 Illinois Youth Survey (IYS). The purpose of the IYS is to better understand youth perceptions and behaviors which can impact student decisions and academic success. The survey will ask about topics including nutrition, physical activity, bullying, tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use.
Students will be asked to complete a survey (with no names or identification numbers) that will be confidentially administered during one class period (second period).
The survey is completely voluntary and privacy will be strictly protected. Students will complete the survey by using their Chromebooks; please make sure your student has their Chromebook ready to complete the survey.
If you do not want your student to participate in the survey,
please review and complete the attached “Parent Opt-Out,” letter.
