The future of Mundelein Theatre will be on display on the Mundelein High School stage in the upcoming production of “Noses Off”, by Don Zolidis.
Known as the New Faces production, the cast is made up primarily of freshman and sophomore students. The show will be performed on Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 14-16 at 7:30 pm, as well as 2 pm show on Saturday.
“Noses Off” is the story of an amateur theatre company’s whodunit as it works its way to opening night. The real mystery is whether the cast and crew can get this disaster to curtain call. It is a hilarious homage to the British farce, “Noises Off,” by Michael Frayn.
“It is an honor to be directing our 10th New Faces production,” said Director Jeff Harding. “In recognition of that, we are tackling the most complex show we have ever done.”
Because of the number of interested students, Harding double-cast the show to ensure that everyone received an opportunity.
“It provides a chance for the younger performers in our school to get a positive experience in the theatre, as they hone their skills and prepare for future roles in our mainstage productions.”
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mundeleintheatre.org. Tickets will also be on sale at the door thirty minutes prior to each performance. Payment at the door is cash or check only.
