Alumni to return and talk about college with current students

As part of the college counseling process, MHS College Counselor Andrea Rusk has lined up 12 MHS graduates who will return “home” to talk about college options and opportunities with current MHS students. The 12 will spend part of the day Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the high school.

The group will hold an information session before school starts at 7:45 a.m. followed by roundtable discussions during the first period [7:45 to 8:35 a.m.] They will also be available for the rest of the day to visit teachers’ classrooms by request.

Listed below are the returning alumni, their schools and majors:

Class of 2017:  Josie Escobar, University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, political science; Rachel Hansen, Penn State University, pre-med, biochemistry and molecular biology; Stacie Ko, Indiana University, pre-med, human biology.

Class of 2018:  Andrea Amador, U of I Urbana-Champaign; Information Systems – Gies School of Business; Michal Gryga, U of I Urbana-Champaign, aerospace engineering; Maaz Imam, U of I Urbana-Champaign, pre-med, community health; Kendall Job, U of I Urbana-Champaign, advertising and public relations; Natasha Kumar, George Washington University, pre-med; Nick Manaligod, Loyola University Chicago, political science, Spanish minor, pre-law; Juliana Roznowski, U of I Urbana-Champaign, civil and environmental engineering; Ronnie Ryba, DePauw University, pre-med, economics and management; Evan Salazar, Johnson and Wales University Denver, culinary arts and food service management.
