Erin Jade Lange, a Young Adult author, will meet with Mundelein High School students in large groups at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, April 10 in the MHS Auditorium. She will also conduct a writing workshop, titled Writing With Voice, from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.

Lange is the author of contemporary young adult novels Butter, Dead Ends and Rebel Bully Geek Pariah. She writes “facts by day and fiction by night.” As a journalist, she is inspired by current events and real-world issues and uses her writing to explore how those issues impact teenagers.

As an only child, Lange spent a lot of time entertaining herself as a kid. This required her to “rely heavily on my own imagination” which may have influenced her to become a writer.

Lange grew up in northern Illinois along the Mississippi River. She now lives in Arizona and admits to being torn between her love of rivers and her love of the desert.
