The bands of Mundelein High School will present a concert on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Mundelein High School Auditorium. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
The program will feature all four of Mundelein High School’s concert bands, and will include a performance of Carl Maria von Weber’s Concertino for Clarinet by 2017-2018 Mundelein High School Concerto Competition runner-up, Louis Maligaya. Other works to be performed include An Irish Rhapsody by Clare Grundman, In the Forest of the King by Pierre La Plante, Puzsta by Jan Van der Roost, and Scenes from the Louvre by Norman Dello Joio.
The four bands performing include the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Honors Symphonic Winds and Honors Wind Ensemble. Jerald Shelato and Andrew Sturgeon direct the instrumental music department at MHS.
