Mundelein High School’s four concert bands will be featured in a free concert Wednesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium.

The Band Program is preparing for a trip to New Orleans during Spring Break (March 22-31) and many of the pieces featured in the concert will either be performed in New Orleans or have significance to that region of the country.

Selections will include Cajun Folk Songs by Frank Ticheli; American Folk Rhapsody #3 by Clare Grundman; Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre; Cajun Folk Songs 2 by Ticheli; Prelude Siciliano and Rhondo by Malcolm Arnold; Sea Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams; Epinicion by John Paulson; and Regenesis by John Higgins

Andrew Sturgeon and Jerald Shelato direct the instrumental music program at MHS.
