Mundelein High School’s bands and choirs will combine for a Holiday Concert Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Admission is free. A highlight of the show will involve the Honors Wind Ensemble and the entire choral department singing Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus to conclude the concert.
The Jazz Ensemble will perform Angels We Have Heard on High and First Circle; Honors Symphonic Winds will offer Music from The Nutcracker and Radetzky March; and the Wind Ensemble will do Greensleeves and Sleigh Ride.
The Master Singers will perform Psallite, I Wonder as I Wander, Hanerot Halalu and Caroling, Caroling. The Concert Choir’s numbers include Shalom Chaverim and Alleluia, Gloria in Excelsis Deo. The Treble Choir will perform Hodie, Candlelight Song and Let is Snow! Bel Canto will do In the Bleak Midwinter, The First Snowfall and S’Vivon.
Jerald Shelato and Andy Sturgeon direct instrumental music groups while Cory Thompson and Stevee Bellas direct the choral groups.
