Mundelein High School’s Boys Volleyball Program will host a Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation match against Vernon Hills High School in the main gym at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. Donations to enter the gym are $5 for adults and $3 for students and children.

The benefit will be played in the memories of Noah Baker, the son of an MHS faculty member, and also Ian Turkula, a 2013 MHS graduate who lost his fight to brain cancer in January 2014.

A 50/50 raffle and basket raffle will be held along with the sale of Bear Necessities Bears for a minimum $20 donation. Donations may also be made any time up to the event at the MHS Bookstore. Donations are tax deductible and checks should be made out to the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

“Please partner with the volleyball program to help fight cancer and find a cure by attending the event and/or donating in Noah’s and Ian’s memory,” said Head Volleyball Coach George Dressen.
