Booster Club to hold canned food drive Friday, Sept. 28
Mundelein High School’s MHS Mustang Booster Club will hold a canned food drive at its home football games at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28. The organization hopes to restock the MHS and Fremont Township food pantries. Collection boxes will be available at the gates.
Canned foods needed include fruits, beans, vegetables, sauces, soups, chili, and baby items like formula coupons and diapers.
Non-canned items requested include peanut butter and jelly, instant oatmeal, dry beans, cereal, pancake mix, syrup, rice, pasta, instant potatoes, mac & cheese, juice, tuna, sloppy joe sauce, taco seasoning, hot chocolate mix, coffee, tea, granola bars and personal items like toothpaste, tooth brushes, dish soap, razors, shaving cream, detergent and toilet tissue.
