Boys Cross Country team makes history!

CCountry

The Boys Cross Country team won the Lake County Invite last night for the first time in school history. This is a significant accomplishment and honor for the school and the program. The invite is named the "Art Campbell Invite" after former Mundelein Cross Country and Track Coach and Wellness Department Chair Art Campbell. The Lake County Schools named the meet after him many years ago to show their respect for the former Indiana track and cross country high school State and Big Ten student athlete/champion/Mundelein coach. Team members include Senior Ben Krauss; Juniors Kaleb Carlson and Carl Schoenfield; Sophomores Robert St. Clair, Alan Salgado, Dario Carillo and Aidan Afonso; and Freshmen Carter Schorr, Tyler Green and Dillon Blake who was the JV Open Meet Champion with a top time of 16:16 for the 5K. Blake won by more than one minute.
Congratulations to Head Coach Kurt Rutz and Assistant Coach Katie Christensen.
