Tickets to the musical Hamilton, tickets for White Sox and Blackhawks games and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and prizes from food venues and other businesses are all part of the raffle portion of the Spotlight Concert and Dessert Event Friday, Dec. 7 sponsored by the Mundelein High School vocal music department. This is the major fundraiser for the choirs each year.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the Show Choirs [Sound, Lights and SoundFX] will perform in the MHS Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. A dessert reception will take place immediately following the performances. Sound is a group of mixed male and female voices, Lights is an all-female group and SoundFX is an all-male group.

Two options are available for seating: Reserved Seating and General Seating. Reserved Seating is done online; General seats and raffle tickets may also be purchased online or in advance from any choir student. Cory Thompson and Stevee Bellas direct the vocal groups at MHS while Andy Sturgeon directs the show choir band, Noise. Larry Calhoun is the fine and applied arts department chair.
