Registration for February 21 College Admissions Case Studies at Mundelein High School.
On Tuesday, February 21 Mundelein High School will be presenting a brand-new opportunity to our current junior class. We are bringing a crew of college admissions professionals from a variety of colleges that are located across the country. These professionals are going to give you the inside scoop on how they choose who gets admitted to their institutions.
Students and their guardians will begin checking in and will receive their informational packets at 6 p.m. Students and parents/ guardians will then begin the event all together in the MHS Auditorium promptly at 6:30 p.m. You will be introduced to the presenters, and they will talk through the details of the evening. You will then be split into small groups and moved into classrooms where, with the guidance of the seasoned admissions officers, YOU will become the college rep! You will be given mock student profiles and applications and talk through the good and the not-so-good of what these mock students put into their applications. You will then determine who you admit to your fictitious institution. The conversation in each classroom will be guided by our admissions representatives who will provide the inside scoop on how the process happens.
After the breakout sessions end and the decisions are made, students and parents will head back to the auditorium for the conclusion of the event. The entire program will take approximately an hour and a half.
