Poster with information about College Planning for Juniors
Mundelein High School’s Guidance Department will host two evenings of College Planning Night programs Tuesday, Feb. 12 in Spanish and Wednesday, Feb. 13 in English, both beginning at 7 p.m. The event is targeting juniors to help them get started with their plans for college but students and families of all grades are welcome to attend.
The event will be hosted by Andrea Rusk, MHS College Counselor, who will provide information that will help juniors and families prepare to finalize their search for the best fit colleges. In addition, a panel of college representatives will also be on hand to discuss what students should do leading up to the fall application process so that they can be prepared and not feel overwhelmed next year.
The panel will include representatives from Augustana College, Michigan Technological University, Iowa State University, National Louis University, The University of Illinois, and The University of Glasgow (United Kingdom). These representatives will answer some of the “Big Questions,” break down some common misconceptions, and let students and families know what they can do right now!
