Congratulations to 2018 graduate Nathan Cartland on being chosen as an Honorable Mention in the Daily Herald 2017-2018 Lake County Academic Team.

“We congratulate every student on the list; first, because you had to survive a rigorous weed-out process just to be nominated, and second, because your hard work, enthusiasm and honesty give us hope for the future,” said Renee Trappe, assistant managing editor/local news at the Daily Herald.
All of the honorees will be will be published in the Daily Herald on Wednesday, June 6.

“Thank you to the coordinators at each school and to the teachers and counselors who, honestly, wrote some of the best letters of recommendation we’ve ever seen in our 15 years hosting this,” Trappe said.
