Support the Mundelein High School’s Black Student Union & My Brother’s Keeper
Mission
The purpose of the Black Student Union (BSU) at Mundelein High School is to create more diverse activities for the student body and raise cultural awareness at the school. President Obama launched My Brother’s Keeper in February 2014 to address persistent opportunity gaps facing young men and woman of color and to ensure all youth can reach their full potential. Within the Obama Foundation, MBK Alliance focuses on building safe and supportive communities for young men and woman of color where they feel valued and have clear pathways to opportunity.
Event
BSU will host a fundraising event on Sunday, October 18, 2020 to support Strides for Peace.
Strides for Peace is a not-for-profit that raises funds to help decrease gun violence in Chicago. The BSU event, The Mundelein Race Against Gun Violence, (MRAGV) will help raise awareness and funds for more than 50 community organizations working for a more peaceful Chicago where all can thrive, free from the fear of gun violence.
