COVID-19 vaccines available to anyone age 12 and over
Mundelein High School will host COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone 12 years of age and older on Thursday, May 27, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Approximately 52 people can be vaccinated every 50 minutes during this time frame. The second dose of the Pfizer vaccination will be held at the same place and times on Thursday, June 17. People must sign up for a time slot for the vaccine at this link.
The vaccinations will be administered in the North Gym at the high school. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Districts 75 and 120 personnel will staff the event.
“We are happy to make this event possible in our community so that area residents have easy, convenient access to the vaccine if they choose,” said Kevin Myers, Districts 75/120 superintendent.
Local services will also be on-site including CERT for campus traffic, the Mundelein Police and Fire Departments along with a paramedic.
“We expect to vaccinate all people who wish to be vaccinated in a safe, orderly environment,” said Kevin Quinn, MHS director of buildings and grounds and coordinator of the event. “This is a great opportunity to serve area residents and make access to the vaccine as convenient as possible.”
