Enjoy Spring Break, classes resume March 29!
Last week the Lake County Health Department issued quarantine guidance regarding domestic travel.
After evaluating the impact these recommendations would have on District operations, inquiring how our peer districts are reacting to the guidance, and reviewing the efficacy of our mitigation strategies, Mundelein High School/D75 has concluded we cannot enforce the domestic travel recommendations.
Students who travel domestically will not be required to quarantine upon return.
Instead, we encourage families to remain vigilant in following COVID-19 health and safety measures (social distancing, wearing masks, and hand washing) while traveling and to have the student stay home if they feel ill after they return.
The Federal order for international travel is different and has not changed. Students who travel internationally are required to receive a negative COVID-19 test AND quarantine for 7 days before returning to school or school-sponsored programs. Students who do not get tested will be required to quarantine for 10 days before returning to school or school-sponsored programs.
We are counting on you to be transparent and following the federal order. If we work together we will be able to have a successful return to school after Spring Break.
