Mundelein High School’s Poetry Slam Team, under the direction of Doug Lillydahl, will hold a Spring Slam and Open Mic event Friday, April 12, from 7 to 9:30 pm in the Mundelein Room at the high school. Area high school students and community members are invited to participate.
According to Lillydahl, awards will be given in several categories, including [Purposefully] Worst Poem, Best Haiku, etc., but the goal is a fun evening with many participants.
There are no entry fees for the event. DJ Ivan will be on hand and pizza will be available for purchase.
