FBLA students qualify for national competition

 
FBLA State Competition April 2018

Students and advisors of the Mundelein High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA] traveled to and competed at the State Leadership Conference in Springfield April 6 and 7. More than 30 members competed, either at the conference or beforehand, in various events that tested their business leadership skills. The Mundelein chapter of FBLA was awarded 7th in the Largest Local Chapter award.  
Of those who competed, several Mundelein FBLA members placed high enough to qualify, as an individual or as a team, to continue on to the National Leadership Conference. Nationals to be held in Baltimore, Maryland June 28 through July 1.


The following FBLA members who earned awards are:


First Place Awards: Business Calculations: Tyler Collins; Business Law: MacKenzie Stewart; Introduction to Public Speaking: Sofia Feijoo


Second Place Awards: Agribusiness: Ryann Ray; Introduction to Business Procedures: Derek Lee; Website Design: Christine Espinosa, Kavana Belagur, Taneesha Tavkar


Fourth Place Awards: Global Business: Sahil Patel, Thomas Riggio; Sales Presentation: Jillian Hoffstadt


Fifth Place Awards: Emerging Business Issues: Christine So, Yasmeen Fathallah


Sixth Place Awards: Introduction to Business: Justin Park; Public Speaking: Kate Fladhammer


Eighth Place Awards: Cyber Security: Michal Gryga; Networking Concepts: Liam Guiritan


Tenth Place Awards: Computer Problem Solving: Matthew Pawlowski
