Mundelein High School Principal Alexandria Rios-Taylor has announced that 59 students from the MHS graduating class of 2024 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission [ISAC], the state agency committed to helping to make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families, confers this recognition to top Illinois high school students annually. Representing MHS as Illinois State Scholars are the following students:

“We’re very proud of the hard work these students have put in to become Illinois State Scholars,” Taylor said. “These students have shown a dedication to academics and earned an honor that will follow them well beyond their MHS education.”
While the State Scholar recognition does not include a monetary prize, honorees will receive a congratulatory letter from ISAC and a personalized Certificate of Achievement. Honorees may also download a digital Illinois State Scholar badge that can be displayed on their online profiles and social media platforms and shared with high school counselors, prospective colleges, employers, family members and others.
