Mundelein High School’s bands will perform in concert Wednesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

The event will feature the four concert bands, including the Honors Wind Ensemble, Honors Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band and Concert Band. The concert will also feature 2019-2020 MHS Concerto Competition runner-up Leila Moon performing Concertino for Clarinet by Carl Maria von Weber.

Other selections to be performed include Illuminations by David Maslanka, Bandology by Eric Osterling, Shenandoah by Omar Thomas, and Symphony No. 1, In Memoriam, Dresden 1945 by Daniel Bukvich.

Jerald Shelato and Andy Sturgeon direct the instrumental music program at MHS.
