Free financial aid workshop at MHS Oct. 25

A free workshop to help students and/or parents complete financial aid forms and apply for many types of financial aid will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Mundelein High School. The workshop, to be held in rooms C-103 and C-104 in the new addition, will be presented in both English and Spanish.

Attendees will get help in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid [FAFSA] which is also available here. This form is required to be considered for state and federal financial aid programs.

Those attending the workshop should bring student and parent 2015 tax forms, driver’s license or state ID and social security card and recent bank statements.  Also needed are information about assets such as savings, certificates of deposit, stock options, bonds and investment real estate, business and farm.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission [ISAC], local financial aid experts and ISAC-trained volunteers will be available to answer questions. Members of the MHS Guidance Department will also be available.
