Honors musicians to present Winter Concert

Mundelein High School’s Honors Symphonic Winds and Honors Wind Ensemble will present a free concert Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium.

Highlights from the concert include Metroplex, a three movement piece about the New York City Skyline, by Robert Sheldon; Tears of St. Lawrence about a dad watching a meteor shower with his five-year-old daughter, by Aaron Perrine; Tudor Psalm, based on a manuscript by Thomas Tallis who was a court musician for King Henry VIII; Sol Y Sombra by George Gates; and Washington Grays by Claudio S. Grafulla.

Jerald Shelato and Andrew Sturgeon direct the instrumental music department at MHS.
