This play juxtaposes the ancient and the contemporary in a ravishing theatricalization of Roman poet Ovid’s powerful masterwork, Metamorphoses. Performed on our 200-seat onstage thrust, the ensemble embodies figures from Greek mythology to share both well-known and rarely told stories of transformation. 

Originally produced in Chicago by the Lookingglass Theatre Company in 1998, Metamorphosis debuted on Broadway in 2002 and earned Zimmerman a Tony Award for Best Director.
