Mundelein Art students will compete for top prizes at the 2023 Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) hosted by Art ConnectedED on Sunday, April 23 at the Bridgeport Art Center. Students are selected across eight different categories or from submitted scholarship portfolios.
Already, 15 MHS art students received a combined $1,591,500 in tuition scholarships.
The IHSAE features several unique programs for high school art students and teachers.The Northern Regional Exhibition is one of the state’s largest and most influential student art exhibitions. This juried exhibition celebrates artistic expression, achievement and provides artists with the opportunity to represent their school at a state level.
The Senior Scholarship Exhibition includes more than 300 senior artworks and recognizes scholarship offers totaling more than $129 million on top of other prestigious awards. Holden Allsbury is one of six students to have their entire portfolio on display as a featured portfolio student.
The MHS scholarship winners in the Northern Regional Exhibition are: Riya Patel, Nicole Burek, Rey Palacios, Amber Dean, Erica Montegrande and Jaxon Wasseluk. Winners in the Senior Scholarship Exhibition are: Isabella Hagglund, Eileen Jarrett, Gianna Horcher, Katie Zalejsky, Natalie Catchot, Greta Mounce, David Tatevosian, Holden Allbury and Manny Curatolo.
