MHS places 17 among top 10 at FBLA State Conference

The MHS Chapter of Future Business Leaders in America gave a well-rounded performance at the annual State Leadership Conference in March as 17 students placed among the top 10 finishers in their category. 

The Mundelein Chapter competed with 67 other chapters from around the state in more than 75 competitive events ranging from business topics and computer skills to interview and presentation events.

The top finishers from MHS included: freshman Santiago Burgos, Computer Problem Solving (third); freshman Advik Sharma, Financial Math (third); sophomore Michael Sager, Journalism (fourth); sophomore Renata Turska, Securities & Investments (fifth); freshman Bruce Dumblauskas, Introduction to Business Communication (sixth); the team of sophomores Alan Fisher, Nihal Joshy and Anthony Vynnyk, Introduction to Social Media Strategy (seventh); sophomore Olivia Wallace, Business Communication (eighth); junior Gabriella Goodson, Data Analysis (eighth); the team of freshmen Owen Beake and Kaidan Boongaling and junior Rishi Sahu, Website Design (eighth); the team of freshmen Caleb Murphy and Chance Winckler, Marketing (ninth); and the team of sophomores Jared Alba and Victor Ortiz, Graphic Design (tenth).

Other MHS conference participants included junior Jacob Hamberg, sophomore Aidan Hanrahan, and freshmen Shayla Agarwal, Benjamin Hamberg, Alejandra Martinez Sanchez, Henry Molozaiy, Morgan Pawlak, Addison Ross, Faisal Sanusi, Marek Sikora and Victoria Skora.

MHS Faculty sponsors Chris Hoster and Paul Franzen also helped organize, supervise and run the media production team for the livestreamed general sessions.
