After a successful first Distinguished Alumni Award Banquet in November, Mundelein High School is now seeking nominations for alumni to honor for 2018. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6 which is also Homecoming Weekend for Mundelein High School. Nominations will be accepted from March 2 through May 13.
Those to be nominated must be out of high school for at least 10 years and have distinguished themselves in any number of areas such as career paths, military service, government work, medicine, the arts, etc. and also volunteer work and/or philanthropic endeavors.
Anyone may nominate an MHS graduate for the award; however, an email address for the nominee is required. In addition, graduates may nominate themselves and graduates who are deceased also may be nominated.
To nominate an MHS graduate for the award, visit the MHS Distinguished Alumni web page.
“This is a great opportunity to recognize Mundelein High School alumni who are making significant contributions to society and their communities,” said Ron Girard, public information officer and chairman of the Distinguished Alumni Award committee. “It’s a special evening to recognize graduates who showcase how they used their Mundelein High School education to excel and to make a difference.”
