Mundelein High School show choirs, Sound and Reverb dominated their first competition of the season, as Reverb won Grand Champion of the Prep Division and Sound was named overall Grand Champion at the Burlington Chocolate City Showcase in January.
Mundelein Sound is the premier co-ed show choir at MHS and Mundelein Reverb is the newly formed co-ed show choir in its first year of existence.
Both choirs are directed by Cory Thompson with Andy Sturgeon serving as the Instrumental Director. MHS also has a third choir, Noise, known as a phenomenal show choir combo throughout the region.
The choirs will compete at the Fort Atkinson (WI) Show Choir Competition on Feb. 11, the Great River Show Choir Invitational on Feb. 18 in Davenport, IA, and at the Western Dubuque (IA) Competition on Feb. 25.
They will host their Winter Choral Concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 9 at the MHS Auditorium and the Finale Concert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at the MHS Auditorium.
