A number of Mundelein High School students will be honored at the Lake County High Schools Technology campus at their annual Awards Night May 9.
David Tolosa and Peter Filerman will be honored as Program Students of the Year. Tolosa is in the Automotive Service II program while Filerman is in Culinary Arts I.
State winners in the Skills USA Competition will continue on to nationals. They are Julia Avila, basic health skills; Carson Bernett, firefighting; Madison Janis, esthetics; Drew Ozog, information technology service; and Daniel Scheuer, emergency medical services.
Preferred Graduates include the following: Scheuer, emergency medical services; Avila, Taylor Parola, Annika Dunlap, Daisy Cerdas, Itzel Gonzalez and Diana Flores, all certified nurse assisting; Vicente Vargas and Tolosa, both Automotive Service II.
National Technical Honors Society inductees include Avila; Jovanny Mata, automotice vollision repair; Scheuer, Jeffrey Smithy, Project Lead the Way; and Tolosa, automotive service.
