Mundelein High School’s swim team feeder program and the Mundelein Mustang Swim Club will host Olympic swimmer Caeleb Dressel from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at MHS on Sunday, Sept. 15. He is set to run three different swim clinic sessions and then speak with athletes and parents from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.
Dressel is fresh off his 2019 World Championship performance where he won eight world medals including six gold and two silver. At that meet he also surpassed Michael Phelps and set a new World Record in the 100m butterfly, making a time of 49.50.
Three sessions will be held including 7:30 to 9:45 a.m. for ages 12 and under; 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for ages 13 and up; and 12:45 to 3 p.m. for all ages. Each session will include photos with Dressel, and instructional swim session with Dressel and autographs.
In addition, Dressel will provide a motivational talk and stories about his training, preparation, nutrition and progression from an age grouper to a world-class Olympian. It will conclude with questions and answers for swimmers, coaches and parents.
