In conjunction with Homecoming Week, the student leadership at Mundelein High School has decided to also raise funds to support the victims of the two recent hurricanes. Known as Red Rage Hurricane Relief Week, the idea is to raise funds in a number of different ways to make a donation to the Red Cross.

Cash donations will be accepted in a number of areas in the building throughout the week. In addition, the National Honor Society will have donation stations set up during the lunch periods. Donors will receive a button or candy for their donations.

All athletic events throughout the week will accept donations and the 50/50 raffle proceeds at the Homecoming game will be donated.

Mid-week the students will have the Mundelein Miracle Minute. After announcements, each classroom will have one minute to collect as much cash as possible to add to the donations.

The Mundelein Education Foundation will have a link on the school’s website early in the week so anyone can make donations. Just go to www.d120.org and click the "Donate" button on this page.

“This campaign was initiated completely by the student leadership of the high school,” said Troy Parola, athletic director. “We’re very proud of our students thinking of others during their Homecoming Week.”
