Fourteen seniors will compete for the title of Mr. Mustang during an evening of entertainment at Mundelein High School Friday, Feb. 22 beginning at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Cost for admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and children. The theme for the evening is A Night at the Movies.
The evening’s events will include an opening dance act involving the entire group, talent, the contestants reading a letter to their parents and more. The talent acts include dancers, singers, skits, musicians, comedians and a Karate act. Senior girls will assist in some of the acts.
The 14 contestants include Aidan Afonso, Mateusz Brak, Alexis Chavez, Jake Cumberland, William Ferro, Sean Finerty, Avi Lampel, Luigi Maligaya, Wyatt Milne, Matt Olorvida, Michael Parduhn, Jesus Ramos, Joseph Salit and Noah Sioson. Serving as emcees for the evening will be Jule Cuasay, Jack Hiegel, Anthony Oleinik and Justin So.
The pool of 14 will eventually be narrowed to five. From those five the second and first runners-up along with Mr. Mustang 2019 will be announced. All proceeds from the event will go to the MHS Parent Ambassadors to fund the Senior Celebration at the end of the school year.
