Mundelein High School business education instructor, Michelle Sherwin-Petrucci, has been granted Certified Teacher status for participating in Uncharted Learning NFP’s professional development for two years and completing one year of teaching the INCubatoredu program.
Now in its second year, the MHS business incubator program allows students to come up with products or services and plans for producing, marketing and selling them. The program is often compared to the popular television program, Shark Tank. Once students have their products/services and ad campaigns ready, they “pitch” their ideas to local Mundelein area business people who make suggestions and offer their critiques. Several of the projects are chosen to continue to production.
“We thank you for championing innovation in your school district and for supporting lifelong learning for your educators,” said Stacy Sniegowski, director of member experience for Uncharted Learning, NFP. “Applause to Michelle Sherwin-Petrucci, Mundelein High School District 120. We wish you the best of luck on the new school year.”
