Mundelein Theatre will begin its season with An Evening of Student Directed One Acts. This year there will be six short plays, all directed by Mundelein High School seniors.

The plays will be presented on Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 13 at 7:30 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door 30 minutes prior to each performance (cash or check only).

“We traditionally start our season with An Evening of Student Directed One Acts,” said MHS Theatre Director Jonathan Meier. “It is an extremely compelling night of theatre, with a wide variety of subject matter and styles within these plays.

“Watching these seniors helm their own shows is always very gratifying,” Meier said of the approximately 40 students involved either onstage or backstage. “They have all worked very hard during their theatre careers to earn the right to direct, and this is their chance to show what they have learned and put their stamp on their own shows.”

This year the directors are Madeline Demuth, Will Gonzalez, Gianna Horcher, Josh Jaffe, Andy Lacroix and Abbey McFarland. For further information, visit www.mundeleintheatre.org
