The Mundelein High School instrumental music department will host its annual Concerto Competition Thursday, Dec. 8, beginning at 4 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Admission is free.

The competition features MHS students performing solo works with accompaniment. The competition is adjudicated with the winner and runner-up performing a solo with one of the ensembles at a spring concert.

Students​ competing this year include: Colin Hogan, flute; George Stedman, trumpet; Hannah Speer, trombone; Christine So, oboe; Anna Desfor, xylophone; Isaac Walker, tuba; and Dustin Clegg, flute.
