Stevee, who most recently served as the Fine Arts Department Chair, has proven her administrative skills through serving as both summer school assistant principal and principal along with her focus on student success through credit recovery. This is the third leadership addition of the summer at MHS.​

    MHS selects new associate principal

    Mundelein High School, which recently named Alexandria Taylor as its new principal, has added a new associate principal to its team. Michael Souza was selected by an interviewing committee of teachers, department chairs, and District personnel. The District 120 School Board approved the hiring and he started working on July 18.

    MHS honored former Mustang tennis stars Ari Dechter, Class of ‘13, Ryan Jump, Class of ‘12 and Paige Parola, Class of ‘11 during its inaugural Ring of Honor awards on June 12. The Ring of Honor is designed to honor players and coaches who have made a great contribution to the program. Players are given this recognition both for achievements playing tennis at MHS and achievements since leaving high school. Coaches will be awarded for their work, their success and their efforts for MHS Tennis.

    Mustang News Team Wins 15 State Awards

    The staff of the student-produced school newspaper, the Mustang, ended the school year with 15 awards from the Illinois Journalism Education Association’s Newspaper & Digital Media Contest, Division 3. The staff received six staff awards, including two second place awards, for Best Overall Design and Best Front-Page Design. They took third place for Best Centerspread Story Package and three honorable mentions for Best Website, Best Hybrid Publication and Best Overall Publication.
