Mundelein High School senior, Reilly Brandt, was recently notified that he is receiving the University of Alabama Presidential Scholarship worth $107,000. Brandt’s score of 32 on the ACT test made him eligible for this award. He intends to study pre-medicine at the University of Alabama.
Brandt has been involved in a number of sports and activities during his high school career. He played football his freshman year and then focused on Lacrosse where he was freshman team captain, played on the varsity his sophomore year and was captain his junior and senior years. He was also a member of Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA] and the Student Athlete Leadership Team [SALT].He has also worked as a lifeguard/head lifeguard for the Vernon Hills Park District for two years. Brandt has consistently been on the A-Honor Roll during his high school career.
Brandt chose the University of Alabama for its warm weather, great campus [and football team], and good pre-med program. His favorite memory of his time spent at Mundelein High School is “going to the third round of the Lacrosse Championship playoffs last year and the last-second win against Marist.”
Brandt is looking forward to a career as a radiologist.
