PROTECTING TEEN HEALTH AND SAFETY IN MUNDELEIN
The Mundelein STAND-UP Task Force is a community coalition that prevents teen drug use. We work with schools in Mundelein, and other partners in town such as the Village of Mundelein, police and fire departments, businesses, churches, park district, health care providers, youth organizations and students and parents, to help students make healthy choices and achieve their goals in life.
Join us Prevention Day 2019!
1 Day: 3 Events Youth Drug Prevention Activities Throughout Mundelein
- Business Meeting: 9-10 a.m. Mundelein Police Department
- Student Town Hall: 4-6:00 p.m. Mundelein High School
- Parent Town Hall: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Mundelein High School

Business Meeting 9 - 10 am at the Mundelein Police Department
Meeting for businesses, schools, and community organizations will begin with a Proclamation from Mayor Lentz and the Village Board, followed by words from Police Chief Guenther. Join us to learn how your business can support teens in their decision to avoid alcohol, marijuana, and vaping.

Student Town Hall 4 - 6 pm for 8th-12th graders at Mundelein High School
Students! We need you on Prevention Day! Join us for interactive activities, small group discussions, and learn how alcohol and other drugs impact the teen brain while developing leadership skills! We will present STAND-UP and the Human Performance Project information! Dinner and raffle prizes, too!

If you are looking to make a difference while gaining leadership skills, then STAND-UP is looking for you! STAND-UP students support teens in Mundelein to BE THE MAJORITY- to be alcohol and drug-free and create positive community change. Parent Town Hall: 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Mundelein High School
Dr. Aaron Weiner of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Services will discuss how alcohol, marijuana and vaping impact the teen brain. Also, parents can learn about the new marijuana law coming into effect on January 1, 2020. A mock teen bedroom will show the signs and symptoms of drug use. Dinner is provided.
