Mundelein STAND-UP will host three community events on Thursday, Dec. 12. They begin with a meeting from 9 to 10 am at the Mundelein Police Department focusing on how businesses can support teens in their decision to avoid alcohol, marijuana and vaping.
In addition, a Student Town Hall will take place at MHS from 4 to 6 pm for students in grades 8-12. There will be interactive activities, small group discussions and more. Includes dinner and a raffle.
The Parent Town Hall is from 6:30 to 8 pm at MHS and will feature Dr. Aaron Weiner of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Services. He will discuss how alcohol, marijuana and vaping impact the teen brain. He will also discuss the new marijuana law going into effect January 1. Dinner will be provided at this event.
