Author of 17 novels in various genres, Barry Lyga, will speak with interested students Tuesday, Feb. 25 between 7:45 and 10:30 a.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Many of his works are geared toward adolescent audiences.
Lyga’s books have been or are set to be published in more than a dozen different languages in North America, Australia, Europe and Asia. He co-authored a novel, The Hive, with Morgan Baden which was recently named the winner of People Magazine’s Best Books of Fall 2019.
Lyga earned a degree in English from Yale University and worked in the comic book industry before devoting all of his focus to his lifelong love of writing. His first young adult novel, The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl, received starred reviews from Booklist and School Library Journal. Publishers Weekly named Lyga a “Flying Start” in December 2006 on the strength of the debut according to Lyga’s website.
Some of his most popular titles include I Hunt Killers, Blood of My Blood, Game, Thanos and others.
